Antix is a DJ and Producer from Central Scotland with 2 CD albums, 5 tracks on wax and over 50 digital singles through labels including the legendary “AV8 Records” and the Crooklyn Clans “Crack4DJs”.
Working backwards in many senses, Antix achieved mainstream successes on the international circuit years prior to his name even becoming a blip on the UK radar.
In 2007, he teamed up with DJ Muggs of Cypress Hill to produce a number of tracks for "Mash-Up Radio" on Eminem's Sirius Satellite Radio station "Shade 45", a partnership that gained Antix weekly airplay to the stations global audience as well as massive endorsement from the Eminem-owned company itself.
Later in the year, Antix became the only DJ in history to have a mash-up chosen by MTV Jams as one of their infamous "Jam of the Week" tracks. The remix to take the title, “Smack That Shorty” reached 1,000,000 views on YouTube weeks in advance of Akon's official remix and was later made available as a realsound download from the vast catalogue of ringtone giants Jamster.
In May 2008, Antix put pen-to-paper on his record deal with "AV8 Records". A short period after, he was an all time best selling artist, and then went on to be a pioneer of the then, brand new section of the label "AV8 Dance", which he has since released an exclusive catalogue of material through including "When The Anthem Goes Out" and the #1 downloaded "Show Me Boom Boom Pow" with Fatman Scoop.
In April of 2009, Antix entered into the MTV UK Video Gallery, simultaneously taking the No. 1 and No. 2 positions. To finish 2009 in perfect style, Antix' "Show Me Boom Boom Pow" remix featuring Fatman Scoop moved from being the number 1 downloaded track of the week, to the number 1 downloaded track of the month after only 6 days online at GigaCrate.com
No one-trick pony by any manner, Antix is also fast becoming the industries go-to guy for audio / video remix production. In 2009 alone, Antix was hand-selected by music industry heads such as Lil Jon, Swizz Beats and Snoop Dogg as well as Hollywood A-listers such as Tyrese Gibson (2 Fast 2 Furious / Transformers 2) to come up with innovative ideas, and in turn, videos for promoting singles, albums and even a comic book release.
